Knowing this ahead of time definitely changed how I reacted to them (though I still asked if berating their customers was standard procedure, lol). just keep in mind the culture difference and don't take it personally. Expect them to be very blunt, likely rude, possibly even offensive. Apart from the time zone difference there is a slight language barrier (they are pretty good though) and a LARGE culture barrier. If you get their silver package and buy your own Mopar light you will still need a harness for the camera signal/power.Īnd last, but certainly not least. I found the Mopar part #s 68163937AG and 68163937AD (I have no idea what the difference is). I read tons of reviews about this light and apparently it kicks A$$, the LED cargo lights are way brighter then the stock one. and they told me via email they basically all do, but there is a chance it won't.Īlso worth noting if considering the 'Gold' package that includes all the cameras is they typically list (and picture) a modified stock 3rd brake light, except in the Gold/Gold+ Black Edition, the LED 3rd brake light with camera is a Mopar part (I didn't know this existed as an option but maybe others did?). They also say on their site 'Some' Canadian vehicles work with SRT, I have read elsewhere 'most' Canadian vehicles work. I have read they have tried to get it working before but it was very buggy so they pulled it, as far as I know they have no plans to add it. which of course won't accept a RAM with SRT function. All SRT vehicles have it so the system is programmed to ping a server for authorization. Because the US is the only location that has UConnect Access.
RAX JAILBREAKER FOR DODGE UPDATE
The software is installed via the in-console USB the exact same way a factory update is preformed, with a few options to select after the system reboots.įor those wondering "Why the FFFF does the US not get the SRT pages?!". The 8.4" screen already has the hardware to accept the 3 video inputs, that's why Customlogix 'simply' enables the functionality via software. Realistically you could have 50x inputs, just know that any more then 3x will require a separate switch. The input they use for the cargo camera also accepts aux audio (via the same aux audio setting as the in-console input) so they used a separate hardware composite switcher to switch between the cargo camera and an installed Apple TV. Any of these cameras can be turned on at any time via the touch panel HOWEVER, the programming for the factory tailgate camera turns off the power when forward speed is above ~10mph, requiring a separate power source if this view is desired. a cargo camera (camera in 3rd brake light) that can be turned on manually via the touch panel, or set as the default reverse cam a reverse camera that automatically turns on when in reverse a front camera that can be set to automatically turn on any time under xx forward speed Their demo configuration (with everything) is: activate SRT APP (this feature not available to US vehicles, more info below) remove GPS motion lockout (for text input) 3 video inputs, all controlled via the touch screen (including factory backup camera, if you have it) Theoretically you could get their software and pinout the harness for your own composite/RCA inputs. The system is almost all software, other then the optional cameras the only hardware is a pigtail that goes between the screen and factory harness to give access to the other inputs. I have done some homework and talked with them substantially so here are the details. I searched for it on here but came up with nothing so I am posting this as an 'FYI' to those considering options as I have not ordered it yet. I have recently learned of a newer "99% software" Lockpick for the 8.4" screen that quite simply looks awesome.
